Hotel Helix is located at 1430 Rhode Island Ave, NW, between 14th and Rhode Island, just blocks from DuPont Circle. We are 5 miles from Reagan National Airport, 25 miles from Washington/Dulles, and just over 30 miles from Baltimore International. Hotel Helix is 4 blocks from the Redline on the Metro (DuPont Circle Stop), and within walking distance of the McPherson Square Metro Station, which provides quick access to all of DC.

The Hotel Helix in Washington DC was a unique and fun place to stay. We really enjoyed the opportunity to sit on the couch ... and watch tv. The decor and room layout was different and very cool.

The Hotel Helix was like walking into an Austin Powers movie. Too groovy!! It was clean and it has a cute cafe area, but I ... wouldn't take a straight man there. Anywho, good location in DC. This hotel was too expensive for what you get, but if you need to be closer to Howard University, Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, etc., I guess it will have to do. I coulda had a V8. :/

The Helix Klimptom had a lovely room nice size. Hotel lobby could have been more roomy very crowded trying to check ... in.Location near Dupont circle convenient for good dining and most areas were walkable to.

This hotel is a great price for a DC hotel but be prepared, it rocks into the wee hours! If you're into that, you'll LOVE ... IT! If you're not, you'll just be annoyed... It's a bit of cheap made chic but it works for the most part - and it's a ton of fun. From the tiger bathrobes to the sheer curtains that envelope the bed to the rockin' bar downstairs, you couldn't ask for a hipper place in the Dupont Circle area.

The location was very convenient.We were welcomed warmly upon our arrival. I loved the room decor- 60's retro. The beds were ... very comfortable, and the rooms were very clean. The bar was also very cool-great food.

The rooms were extra large and uniquely decorated. There was free wine everynight between 5:00 and 6:00 P.M. Good location, ... walking distance to Metra, restaurants and trolley ride. Downtown sights were walkable if you enjoy walking. Nice neighborhood.

The Hotel Helix has large rooms, very centrally located, easy to get from the hotel to all attractions and the Central ... Business District. The lounge is great, the rest of the amenities were just okay. Utilized the free shoe shine service...when they returned the shoes appeared to be in the same condition as they were when left. Tried to order room service, decided against it after being on hold for too long. I extended my stay by one day and my room key no longer worked, had to return to the front desk twice to get this rectified. The morning newspaper arrived three of the five mornings I stayed at the hotel. The price was right so can't complain too much. I would only stay again for the price, other hotels in DC offer the same perks but generally follow through where the Hotel Helix lacked.

The Hotel Helix is a fun, comfortable, convenient hotel located in a quiet neighborhood in DC. It is an easy walk to ... downtown attractions but allows the visitor to escape the hustle and bustle of staying immediately in the downtown area. The hotel staff is WONDERFUL and the accommodations are not only comfortable but lively and fun. I will never stay anywhere else in DC unless it is a nother Kimpton property.
