The Waikiki Grand Hotel, a Gay Friendly property, offers spectacular Ocean, Diamond Head, Kapiolani Park, and City views are available from many of our newly renovated rooms. These individual condos are in the heart of Waikiki, a minutes walk to Waikiki Beach, Queens Beach,(gay beach) and many other attractions.
Beginning Dec 1 2008,The Waikiki Grand Hotel will offer check out maid service only for its hotel guests. There will no longer be daily maid service.

The Waikiki Grand Hotel gets 3 stars. It was clean & safe, but loud outside noise, hard bed, and not many ammenities. It was ... super clean which is the most important. The staff were friendly and helpful. The surprise of the trip was the fantastic food at Hula's in the lounge. We would stay there again.

Nothing Great To Offer

This hotel has many problems it needs to work on. The parking deck can hold only about 8 to 10 cars at the most. The laundry ... room and the parking deck is in the same location in stead of the laundry room being in the hotel. The bed looks like it will fall if you get in it and plus the room has ROACHES ROACHES AND MORE ROACHES. The lamps doesn't work in some rooms and the view is terrible their.

terrible bed

We stayed only one night because the bed was rock-hard, the kind of solid bed my grandparents would buy. It made for a bad ... night's sleep, especially for someone with back problems. The worst part of it was because the Waikiki Grand is a condotel, there seemed no way to switch rooms or make suitable adjustments. And the hotel staff didn't make any suggestions to fix the problem. Fellow traveler, don't stay at the Waikiki Grand, and BE CAREFUL if you book accommodations at a condotel!

NO PARKING. There actually was a full 24-hour no room cleaning with clean linens. They were not friendly in particular. It ... gave you the feeling the hotel must be having hard times. I could go on, but why beat a dead horse.

Good Hotel for the Money

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The staff was very freindly and helpful. We had a great view of Diamond Head and the ... ocean. The staff was always there to help and say hello. They even changed our room departure time and helped arrange transport to airport when a family member had to change plans. This is a nice hotel, close to the beach, bus and trolley stops and shopping and restaurants. It is not a fancy hotel, but a good friendly, clean place for the price. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay again.
