The Grand Canyon is one of the greatest attractions around Las Vegas. Millions of tourists are visiting The Grand Canyon every year. The Grand Canyon offers almost 227 miles of Colorado River along with mind blowing erosion landscape in surrounding areas.
Getting to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas:
The Grand Canyon is around 4 to 5 hours drive away from Las Vegas. Total distance between The Grand Canyon and Las Vegas is 250 miles. During your trip you will enjoy the marvelous view of Hoover Dam.
The Grand Canyon is mind blowing but I would recommend you to start with Grand Canyon Village just to get real feeling about the National Park. You will be able to get tons of information in form of lectures, videos and assistance through rangers. Your trip will start through the Bright Angel Trail towards the bottom of the canyon. Just be prepared to enjoy 9 miles of journey to the bottom.
East Rim of the Grand Canyon Drive is a good choice to take advantage of great views. You will be able to enjoy fabulous views such as Yaki Point, Grandview Point and Tusayan Ruin Museum. East Rim of the Grand Canyon drive gives the good knowledge about ruins of a population of pueblo Indians of 13th century.
Usually the drive to the Grand Canyon is worth investing time and energy. You will enjoy the great views and some drive through desert. Some people do not advise to hike to the bottom of the canyon. You can achieve the same views by just walking about a quarter of the way down on trail to the bottom. Summer is the right time to visit but place will be crowded. If you are looking for pleasant weather then I would suggest you to go there between months of May through November. Trust me, you will enjoy the rocky creation made through erosion.
Grand Canyon Tours:
If you do not want to travel to the Grand Canyon by yourself then you might want to consider group tours from Las Vegas. There are some road trips as well as helicopter tours available as well.
If you and your family is planning to visit more attractions then you might want to check Go Cards in Las Vegas. Make sure to check out the list of attractions offered by Go Cards Las Vegas. You will save good amount of money through Go Cards.

Jersey Boys show is based on the music of Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons. Entire show is focused on the rise of their fame and their history years in Newark. That means, you need to like the old era music as well as need to be interested in the history of Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons. Usually show startup is very slow but gets better over the time. And yeah, consider the fact that they will start singing a good song but expect them to stop in between and go over their history. When I visited the show, last half an hour was great as it was like a concert of great music. Overall I liked it. At the end of the show I was able to discover the secret of a 40 year friendship of four blue-collar kids who worked their way from the streets of Newark to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Trust me you will love it like others.
Kudos: Great Music
Darts: Narrative more than I expected.
